Founded in 2003 as Decor Bristol Limited, our practice has evolved from a specialist decorating company into a specialist studio focused on mineral and earth-based architectural finishes that prioritise material honesty and environmental responsibility.
In 2010, we launched Decor Tadelakt, becoming the first company to introduce Tadelakt to the UK. This milestone established our long-term commitment to finishes rooted in traditional craft yet fully compatible with contemporary construction. Tadelakt’s durability, breathability, and repairability exemplify our core belief: truly sustainable materials are those that age well, perform technically, and can be maintained rather than replaced.
Today with Decor Surface Finishes, as a specialist subsidiary of Decor Tadelakt, we continue to develop a considered palette of finishes that form our house style and sit naturally alongside Tadelakt. These include natural clay plasters, less harmful microcement systems and Limewash, all designed to avoid the synthetic appearance, petrochemical content, and indoor air-quality concerns associated with many modern surface products. Our focus is on low-toxicity, mineral-based materials that support healthy interiors while delivering refined, architectural surfaces.
Functioning under the same leadership and quality standards, Decor Surface Finishes enables clients, architects, and contractors to access a cohesive specification package beyond Tadelakt, delivered with the same depth of knowledge and applied expertise.
Our team of seven combines creative and technical backgrounds, allowing us to collaborate closely with architects, designers and contractors. With bases in London and Bath, we work across London and the South East, the South West, the Cotswolds, and the New Forest.
